WE MEASURE TEMPERATURE

As well as being sensitive to strain, the Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor wavelength is also sensitive to temperature. The FBG sensor Amazec Photonics uses can intrinsically be applied where the temperature change through changing material properties directly causes a wavelength shift.

In addition to discrete sensing using FBG sensors, in distributed sensing the whole fiber is used as a sensor.
